Thanks to the facilities support from SUNY College at Oneonta, the
event returns to its home at the Goodrich Theater with an open opportunity for
everyone to experience the event.
The event is open to public and non-public schools from The Daily Star subscription area which covers DCMO BOCES, ONC BOCES and Richfield Springs. Parents who have children who are interested in this type of competition, may attend the event to inspire future participation.
The event begins 10:00 am and there is no cost to attend. The winner of the Oneonta Daily Star Spelling Bee competes at the Scripps National Spelling Bee near Washington D.C. with all expenses paid for the student plus one chaperone.
DCMO BOCES provides enrichment learning services to 16 school districts in the Delaware, Chenango, Madison and Otsego Counties. Sponsors and supporters are welcome to explore opportunities to engage in volunteer or funding opportunities that open new doors for students in our local region.
